Shana's and fans'
questions to Max
Here
are some of the questions Shana had and answers from Max.
Q: During
the '99 US Open match vs. Kafelnikov, John McEnroe mentioned that you
may need to "position yourself" better on the court. Have you
seen the tape of that match, and what other things do you work on in the
course of practices?
A: In regard to McEnroe's comment: yes, I took it under consideration
as well as many other things that we speak about.
Q: I
was wondering if you're ever thinking of playing mixed doubles again,
or are you just planning to focus on singles play mostly?
A: Yeah Shana, playing both singles and doubles at the majors is plenty
of work. Mixed is not in a picture for me at this point.
Next up are some quotes I thought were too good not to post.
"They
call me the Beast, cause I always fight on the court and I am very strong
but handsom, so my best friend of mine gave me this name at the begging
of my carrier. I liked, so I kept it till these days." ---- Comment
from Max after Shana's query of where the nickname "The Beast"
came from.
Shana once
asked Max about Davis Cup info, and what the tournament schedule is like
for the summer.
"Wouldn't be coming back to the States until after Wimbledon already.
Shana, for more information on Davis Cup you can tell people to go to
I think www.daviscup.com but I am not 100% sure, please check it yourself
when you have a second. It ran by ITF so, may be link to it through ITF
official site."
By the way, that is the official Davis Cup site.
First thing
Shana ever received from Max was this next email. (Shana made first ever
site about Max.)
"hey
Shana, thanks for the page, I love it!!! I hope that you'll take it further
thanks again , MAX. *the beast*"
Kittie asked: "Can you ask max in which way does learning the guitar
or music in general has affected his life....??"
And Max replied: "Playing a guitar and trying to understand music
over the years has helped me to relax and be more within myself when pressure
and stress situation came into play on the day to day basis."
Shel322 asked Max: "Max, are you a Christian?"
Max's reply: "I am a Christian."
Let me know if you have a query for Mr. Mirnyi. I can send them to Max
for review, and to quote Max once more: "It may not be right away
but I will always find the time for it."
Check back often to see if your question was answered.
